Marissa Caputo, Esq.

Marissa is a Partner at the Adler Law Firm, where she advises clients on a wide range of matters with a primary focus on estate planning, estate and trust administration, estate tax planning, Medicaid planning, and real estate matters, including residential and commercial transactions. She works with individuals and families at all stages of life, from young families beginning to plan for the future to those further along in life whose planning needs may be more complex. She provides thoughtful, practical guidance tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, focusing on understanding their specific needs and proactively identifying and addressing issues that may not be readily apparent. She is mindful of the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of her clients and approaches each matter with sensitivity and care. In addition to serving her own clients, Marissa is a trusted resource to other attorneys and professionals who seek her guidance on estate planning and related matters.

Marissa joined the firm in July 2019 and became a Partner in January 2025. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced on Long Island in the areas of real estate, estate planning, business law, and civil litigation, providing her with a well-rounded perspective that informs her practical and client-focused approach.

Marissa is actively involved in professional networking organizations and is committed to giving back to the community through her volunteer work with local nonprofit organizations.

Marissa attended Vassar College, where she earned a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Art History. Before obtaining her law degree from Boston College Law School, she worked as a paralegal at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP. During law school, she interned for the Hon. Michele M. Woodard of the Supreme Court of Nassau County and the Hon. John B. Riordan of the Surrogate’s Court of Nassau County.

A Long Island native, Marissa is proud to serve the community she has always called home.
